The trail is very easy, less than a mile RT and less than 200 feet elevation. At the small parking lot, walk back down the road the way you came until you see the sign below.

This is a very easy hike near Silver Falls State Park. I did this hike solo at the end of March. I had read that the road was in poor condition, so I parked my car quite a bit up the road and hiked down, adding a few miles round trip to the distance. It was really unnecessary; the road was in good enough condition for a low clearance vehicle. The trail is very easy, less than a mile RT and less than 200 feet elevation. At the small parking lot, walk back down the road the way you came until you see the sign below. A very short distance after heading into the woods, the trail splits; stay left and you should immediately start to lose elevation. The trail has a rope tied up to help with the descent. In 10 minutes you'll be at the river bed. Walk up the river until you see the falls. Abiqua Falls is centered in an almost amphitheater of basalt. It's really something. There were only a few people there and it was awesome. The Hike:
