The first time we camped here with Seth and Jenny. Our neighbors across the street blasted lousy country rock music the whole time and were not shy about arguing with each other at the tops of their lungs. I believe one of the foul-mouthed women threatened to leave her husband and head back to Tacoma from which she came if he didn't behave himself. I think one of their children may have been missing for a portion of the day as well.
This place is really popular because of the water activities on the lake. You can rent canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, and pedal boats. You can also fish here, so people will be planted all along the shores of this lake. We hiked up Lost Lake Butte to enjoy the views. This is an easy hike, and, despite the campground being so busy, was not busy either of the two times we hiked it.
